April Showers…
And the weird weather continues. Today finds the weather switching back and forth between sunshine, snow, rain, hail, and snow pellets, while the chickens and guinea fowl alternate between hiding in the coop and reveling in the banquet of earthworms in the freshly tilled vine rows. Thankfully we are still a week or two away from bud break, so the hail and freezing temperatures haven’t hurt our prospects for a great growing year.
We bottled our 2007 Vigna Giovanni Pinot Gris and our white table wine Vino Bianca della Casa Perasso, named after my husband’s family of origin and a fitting birthday celebration for him. Both of these will be available at our upcoming events in May, along with our 2005 and 2006 Pinot Noir.
